I have licens for mexico only!! and how much is the clases? i need all the information about the school thanks

    • Candace says:

Hi Liliana, if you have a license for cosmetology already then try getting a hold of State Board. They will send you the information on what you need to do. Normally they say to put in about 600 hours here.

    • Candace says:

Oh and our classes are $10,000 total. If you only need to put in 600 hours, the cost would be about $4,170. We do have financial aid available for qualifying students.

Is there a part time for manicuring classes? I have a full time job but it’s only 3 days a week.. And I’m tryin to find a program somewhere tht will work with me.

  3. Kiana says:

    I plan to move to another state after I complete the manicuring program. There licensing requirements must show proof of ;
Sanitation, sterilization & safety- 70 hrs.
    Basic manicuring & pedicuring – 75 hrs
Application of artificial nails – 135 hrs
    Laws, rules, & regulations – 25 hrs
Management, ethics, interpersonal skills & salesmanship – 25 hrs
Disinfection, cleaning, & safe work practices – 20 hrs

Does your program cover these areas for the number of specified hours? If so, is there some proof of that to send to their state Board of Licensing?

    • Candace says:

Hi Kiana, this is what we require~

      For hands on training:
      Sanitation – 10 hours
      Manicures – 40
      Pedicures – 20
      Artificial nails – 180

      For bookwork hours:

      Rules and regs – 10
      Chemistry – 10
      Health and safety – 15
      Bacteriology/anatomy – 10
      Disinfection – 10
      Manicure – 15
      Pedicure – 10
      Artificial nails – 30

After students graduate, we give them transcripts (if they request them) that show the work they put in at Sierra Beauty College.

      Hi Laura:)
The entire cost for the manicuring program is $3,000, including books and kit. You pay $1,000 when you enroll, another $1,000 when you reach 200 hours, and the last $1,000 is due when you graduate.

Hi Monica, you can either apply online here: https://fafsa.ed.gov/FAFSA/app/fafsa?locale=en_US (our school code is 013831), or you can come in to the office and we can do it for you. We would need your 2013 tax return for the 14/15 award year. The school schedule is as follows:

      Full-time students ~ 8:30am-5:00pm, tues-sat
      3/4-time students ~ 8:30am-3:00pm, tues-sat
      Part-time students ~ 8:30am-12:30pm, tues-sat

  7. Alexys says:

Hello. I am licensed in cosmetology but I want to take a manicuring course. Do you accept financial aid for the manicuring course?

    • Candace says:

Hi Alexys, no we don’t accept financial aid for the manicuring course. PELL only covers programs that are 600 hours or more, and manicuring is only 400 hours. We do accept credit card payments if that’s easier.

  8. Melanie says:

Does anyone know if these classes are still available and what the schedule is for this course? How many weeks is this ? Anyone gone to this before? Trying to figure out how in depth the artificial nail part goes and buy that we mean acrylic right? Can you pay for this class without signing up for financial aid?

    • Candace says:

      Hi Melanie,

Yes we still offer the manicuring course. It is Tues-Sat, 8:30am-5:00pm. Financial aid is not available for the manicuring course, so you would have to pay your own way. We do accept credit card payments.

  9. Crystal says:
