Good News for Financial Aid Students!

PELL has increased the award amount for the year 2013/2014, so students who qualify for the full amount will be able to receive a financial aid refund.

At Sierra College of Beauty, if you qualify for the full amount of financial aid, PELL will pay for your entire tuition! No student loans necessary!

Hi Vanessa, which class were you interested in? If you qualify for the full amount, for barbering, cosmetology, or esthetics, all you would have to pay is the $100 registration fee, PELL would cover the rest. Financial aid is unavailable for the manicuring class though.

Hi Marie, you can go to this website: http://www.fafsa.ed.gov to see if you qualify. They will send you an email with an EFC number, and if it looks like this: 000000 then you qualify for the full amount of PELL. If you need help you are welcome to come into the school and we can do your application for you, we would just need your 2013 tax return (if you filed).

Hi Ashley, no unfortunately PELL will only pay for programs that are 600+ hours, and manicuring is only 400 hours long.

Hello I just wanted to know if we do qualify for the full amount of pell grant do we get a financial aid refund and when would we receive it. If we do get a refund.

Hi Claudia, it looks like PELL will be increasing a little bit in July so you should be able to get a small refund when you reach 1250 hours. I don’t know exactly how much it would be yet.

Hi Isela, if you don’t qualify for financial aid you can make payments. We do accept credit card payments.
